More Than Bread
It's not enough to get into God's Word, we need to let His Word get into us. "More Than Bread" is a podcast featuring Pastor Dan Nold from Calvary Church in State College, PA. It focuses on simply reading the Bible (with a few comments) in the hopes that listening to God's Word, learning from God's Word and leaning into God's Word will shape our hearts, minds, and souls to bring us life. As Jesus said, "We do not live by bread alone, we live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God."

When Lions Roar #13 -- Daniel 3:24-30 -- "God will you meet me in the fire?"
As we spend one last episode on the sacred encounter that Daniel's three friends had with God in fiery furnace, let me simply say, "Sometimes God chooses not to protect us from the fire because He wants to meet us in the fire. As I think about those moments, I can't help but wonder what they talked about in the fire. I wonder if the Savior told them how proud Father God was of their devotion. I wonder if he told them that because of their devotion, people would know their names, thousands of years later, that here in in this podcast people would be pondering their devotion to God, their willingness to step forward in dangerous obedience. Jesus met them in the fire.
Often we go through life without any awareness of the presence of God, until we step into the fire.
