More Than Bread
It's not enough to get into God's Word, we need to let His Word get into us. "More Than Bread" is a podcast featuring Pastor Dan Nold from Calvary Church in State College, PA. It focuses on simply reading the Bible (with a few comments) in the hopes that listening to God's Word, learning from God's Word and leaning into God's Word will shape our hearts, minds, and souls to bring us life. As Jesus said, "We do not live by bread alone, we live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God."

When Lions Roar #29 -- Daniel 10 -- Light beats darkness...everytime!
Daniel 10 gives us a behind-the-curtain look at a battle that's been raging for millenia. It's a spiritual battle between good and evil, between darkness and light. Paul would later talk about this battle and encourage us with these words, "Be strong in the Lord." In other words, your strength isn't enough. This is not a battle against flesh and blood; it's a battle against darkness in the heavenly places. Sometimes we just don't believe that it's real, until we feel the touch of the darkness. Perhaps we feel it's touch in a set of tragic circumstances, or an opiod addiction, deep depression, or maybe a habitual sin you can't break.
Listen the battle's real. I've watched lives fill up with darkness. But here's our hope; light beats darkness...everytime!
