More Than Bread

It's not enough to get into God's Word, we need to let His Word get into us. "More Than Bread" is a podcast featuring Pastor Dan Nold from Calvary Church in State College, PA. It focuses on simply reading the Bible (with a few comments) in the hopes that listening to God's Word, learning from God's Word and leaning into God's Word will shape our hearts, minds, and souls to bring us life. As Jesus said, "We do not live by bread alone, we live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God."

As we finish looking at the seven signs in the gospel of John, let this truth saturate your soul. In the early days after Jesus resurrection, when his followers turned the world upside down, they were not just inspired by a good story. They were changed; deeply, completely and forever changed. Jesus begin to do a resurrection rewrite of their story. Coming to see Jesus radically changed them.

If you believe in Jesus, at this very moment, your story is going through a rewrite. There are things that are true of you right now that were not true of you before you belonged to Christ. When we become Jesus followers, not only do we get a new story we get a new identity. And can I tell you, it is so worth it, to come see Jesus!
